I purchased the EuroCarry 66201 from Camping Wagner for my Fiat Ducato Malibu on May 22, 2023. I just learned that there have been issues with the mounting bolts in the past, which is why I'm no longer using it. How can I find out if my bike rack is affected? Best regards

Good day Mr. Johae, Affected by the recall were bike racks manufactured between June 2022 and March 2023. All racks in the dealers' warehouse were retrofitted in March 2023, so deliveries from March 2023 onwards are not affected by the recall.

Hi again, you write for article 66201, "Not suitable for doors with 270-degree hinges!" Does this mean that the bracket cannot be attached to the hinges, or that the doors can only be opened 90 degrees after installation?

Hello Mr. Zielonka, The bike rails are 66.74 mm wide and equipped with wheel chocks with a top opening of approximately 70 mm. This makes them easily suitable for tires with a diameter of 6 cm.

Good day Mr. Malke, The bracket cannot be mounted on the door hinges for 270 degree doors, as there is no space for the attachment.
If the carrier is to be used as a low loader, an additional lighting bar is required.
This is available from 326 €.
An ABE is not required because the carrier counts as cargo.
Conversion to left-hand locking is possible and can be carried out independently during assembly.

I don't want to always lift the wheels so high. Can the rails be attached lower? If so, do I absolutely need a light bar? We have a Fiat Ducato. Thank you very much!-
Good day Mr. Kramer, The carrier 66201 has two heights for attaching the rails, high loader = 1470 mm distance from the ground and the low loader = 1138 mm distance from the ground.
There is no other option with this carrier.
For the low-loader variant, an additional lighting bar must be installed, as the taillights and license plate are covered.
As an alternative to this carrier, we have the carrier 64201. This has a ground clearance of 670 mm.Kind regards and see you soon!

Ladies and Gentlemen We purchased the Euro-Carry 4-axle carrier and installed it on our Ducato 9. Everything's been problem-free so far.
Now, however, the upper screws have to be unscrewed further than feels comfortable to me. They only protrude about 2.5 cm into the thread. The instructions say anything over 2 cm is fine. So, it actually fits.
My question: was there a mistake during installation or is this the expected screw depth for our vehicle?
Or can we somehow make adjustments?

Regarding the bike rack 66201: Hello, I've been using your hinged rack for a year now. I use it to transport two e-bikes, each weighing 25 kg. Unfortunately, the weight of the rack causes it to bend slightly downward, so I have to lift it to insert it into the bolt slot. If I take this into account during installation, it's too high when empty, and I have to push it down. I'd also like to attach it firmly to the left, but that's not possible because of the locking mechanism (for the open position), but it doesn't fit. Best regards, Nils Borchert -

Normally the weight of the wheels should not cause the carrier to bend.

Permanent installation on the left side is possible. A conversion kit is available that includes the locking mechanism.

I'm about to buy a EuroCarry Adventure, but I keep reading that there are/were problems with the locking pins, and as a result, the bike rack can't be used. Is this problem resolved? How heavy is the rack for two e-bikes, including the light bar? Thanks in advance. -

The rack weighs 24 kg and has a maximum load capacity of 60 kg. This makes it suitable for e-bikes.

Hello. Can the 66201 also be removed? It's no problem on the left side. The brackets remain screwed to the door, of course. Can the support be removed on the right side as well? -
Good day Mr. Hornischer, The carrier can be removed, but it is not recommended. On the left side, it is secured with cotter pins, making it easy to remove. On the right side, a screw with a self-locking nut is installed. Loosening the screw would invalidate the locking mechanism, making it easier for the screw to come loose. As an alternative, Schurs Reisemobile offers locking cotter pins, which are designed to allow easy removal and disassembly of the carrier.
